[American Optical] USS Vintage Glasses [1960s- GI Glasses] GR Clear 48-24

USS (United States Safety Service), government-issued glasses supplied by the US military. A rare Wellington model equipped with a diamond hinge that was used until the 1960s. Made by American Optical, the structure reminiscent of the companys Explorer makes it look more mannish, and the clear frame, which is common to vintage safety frames, gives an impression that fits your face. A new UV lens with a light grayish purple color has been added. It has been appraised and maintained by an optician, and has been polished to give it a natural luster.
